Prompt: Name your favorite pairings that you like to write
At this point, I write primarily two pairings: McKay/Sheppard (Stargate: Atlantis) and Snape/Potter (Harry Potter).
McKay and Sheppard was my first slash pairing that I actually wrote. I had been reading slash both in SGA and SG1 fandoms, but had been writing het (O'Neill/Carter). Once I started writing McKay/Sheppard, I never looked back.
I started writing Snape/Potter just a couple of years ago (although it's probably longer than I want to think! Okay, I finally had to check, I first wrote Harry Potter fic in 2012). Harry Potter fandom actually suffers from the same lack of new canon to work with problem that Stargate: Atlantis does. Both fandoms have closed canon in that there's no new material coming out.
John/Rodney and Harry/Severus are lost and broken in their own ways.
John is 'poor little rich boy' who turned into the unwanted military asset; Rodney is the rude genius who never learned how to have a friend. Harry is the unloved child with the weight of the world on his shoulders; Severus is the unloved loner, and the spy mistrusted by both side.
But the pairings fill in holes to make them more complete -- at least with each other. John and Rodney are more likely to learn to 'play well with others' than Harry and Severus are. But neither Harry nor Severus owe the Wizarding world anything, and can be justified in their isolation.
John and Rodney lend themselves to Harlequin AU situations more than Harry and Severus, but they all can be out into most any AU situation -- a fun way to play with all of them.
Both HP and SGA are active in their own way but I find that I've been writing more Harry Potter fic lately than Atlantis fic. (Although I finally finished the semi-huge HP/SG1/SGA crossover that I had been poking at for a couple of year!) Some of that I attribute to the fact that I've friended folk who are very active in writing Snape/Potter fic and they drag me (mostly willingly) into fests and exchanges. My SGA close friends have become close personal friends but (sadly) they aren't as active in fandom -- for a lot of good personal reasons.
But this year, I've resolved to write at least one McKay/Sheppard Atlantis fic each month... even a drabble. Just to keep the fandom active. It takes more than one person, I know, but it can't hurt to keep my own little corner of it going.

This made me want to draw sparkly hearts around it and marry it. :-)
I am now scouring every fiction site searching for stories.
I totally blame you for the introduction to the Snarry fandom
THANK YOU!
I cant wait to read your HP/SG1/SGA fic now.
