Fic Rec: Macavity by LadyRa

In my (nonexistent) spare time, I do the occasional fic rec on Keira Marco's Slashworld ( what's fun about that is that I've been reading fic in multiple fandoms and just looking for *good* fic...  I finally did the "d'oh" thing and figured I should share some of that here...

The reason for the brain storm is the latest rec I made, it's a fun and well done fic, even if you're not an NCIS fan.... this is the latest rec I wrote for the site.

Title:  Macavity (
Author:  Lady Ra
Fandom:  NCIS with an Avengers Crossover

Pairing:  Gibbs/DiNozzo, secondary Phil Coulson/Clint Barton
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Fluff, gratuitous reference to Disney movies, minor comic book violence
Genre: Romance, Humor,
Word Count: 72,813

Tony comes into an unexpected legacy when he turns forty, and Gibbs meets a rat who knows a little too much about his sex life.  Once word gets out about Tony, there's an alphabet war going on for his talents that puts him and everyone he loves at risk.

Why You Should Read This:

This is freaking awesome. Lady Ra has built the most fascinating universe here and she's rocked it.

Your first, and only, clue: Macavity is a fictional character who is described in a poem in Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, by T. S. Eliot. He also appears in Cats, the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

It starts with the usual Tony and Jethro dancing around each other, pining and never quite sure the other would really like him 'that way.'

On the eve of Tony's 40th birthday, he gets a mysterious phone call about a legacy and not to hurt those that come first. Tony's all WTF? and Gibbs, protecting his best agent (um, yeah, right) gets Abby on the case only to find there is no record of a phone call.

Tony's legacy comes forward… well, creeps forward to be honest… and Gibbs is a rock in helping deal with Tony's confusion and amazing life change.

Learning to deal with the legacy becomes a full time job and it's fun to watch the good 'guys' come into Tony's life and the bad guys circle around.

It's hot, sweet, funny with a teeny bit of angst.
