Grading... mostly done!

I've just completed grading for my online class... well, at least for the students who have completed the final... sigh...

It's always interesting the students who underestimate what it's going to take to complete an online statistics class... My favorite is the pregnant student who thinks she's going to have the baby, maybe have to miss 3-4 days of class and then get right back to it...

The next is the student who has never been able to get through any math class without serious tutoring (i.e. major hand holding) and then tries to take the class online.

The good news is that there really are a body of students who take advantage of the materials I provide (I've been teaching this class for more than 10 years and basic stats doesn't change)... I have essays, videos and what I consider robust assignments. I always get just enough "I never looked at data like in this way before!" reactions to make it worth keeping doing.

Now I just have to clean up the late submissions, and debate about what to do the students on the border line between two grades. A couple of them deserve to be rounded up, but a couple don't...

Maybe now I can go off and work on one of those Harry Potter stories tonight and tomorrow!
