Snowflake Challenge - Day 8

Day 8

In your own space, create a love meme for yourself. Let people tell you how amazing and awesome and loveable you really are. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so. Surf the comments and find people to give love to.

Snurched entirely from [profile] starbucksue over here... show her some love, too!

Eek - a love meme for myself!
This is a difficult challenge as I have always been a rather shy person and my self-confidence has never been very high.
Despite all the training and workshops I've had to attend at work over the past ten years since I've been a manager the hardest thing for me has always been having to ask for feedback, despite the positive responses I have received over the years from my team, my line manager and the other managers I work with. However, I always pride myself in being a friendly, encouraging, helpful and generous person.

So if you would like to leave a comment to let me know I'm 'amazing, awesome or loveable' it would be both cool and awesome and I gift you a virtual hug in return!

You are amazing! I love the effort you put into your fandoms, how nice you are with your comments, and I love how you squee about stuff. It was so wonderful to meet you, and immediately feel so easy around you. I think you're a wonderful, helpful, caring person, as well as a prolific and talented author.

And being shy is not a bad thing, not everyone needs to be loud and noticeable :D (unless you want to) And I have seen you be confident! You are confident when you talk about things you're good at, and when you're with people you trust, and with every right! You are wonderful and unique, just as you are, and don't let anyone tell you different.

So there! *squishy hugs* ^_^
Awww....

And the friends I've made in fandom are the best!

Love your HP writing and admire you for pushing out the original fic as well. Would love to know the story behind your icon. I smile whenever I see it.
I've had the emu forever... it's become 'me' in both my fandom and in my professional persona....

It's the innocent "Who? Me?" look that tickled my fancy and I've kept it ever since...

It makes me smile when you post a story.
Awwww.... thanks!

Fandom makes for the best-est friends!

You're a great person, and so prolific in fandom. You post fairly often and they're always interesting fics well worth the read.
::shuffles feet::

Many thanks for the very kind words...

I love how you are such your own person, and how comfortable I feel in your presence. One of the things that impressed me the first time we met was how you were working on a story as a pinch-hitter for a fest--in the middle of a fangirl gathering! I was impressed by your dedication, and your ability to focus and concentrate in the middle of a fan party! It was a work ethic I wanted to emulate--as opposed to the 'my muse isn't cooperating' kind of mentality. And yet there was no fuss, no bother about it--you just bowed out to go work on your story. Awesome. Your productivity is awesome--and you've tempted me into reading in other fandoms. Not an easy thing to do! :D
And I, in turn, remember the discussion you had about "Walk like Beckett" Day... not that you or I would ever *look* like her, but damn, we could walk with the confidence she exudes.... I need to do that more but when I do, it reminds me of you...

*grins*

I need to remember that myself more often. I've been giving a lot of thought lately to attractiveness versus what passes for the standards of beauty these days, and where a middle aged woman fits into all of that. Hmmm. I might need to write a novel with just that sort of heroine. ;-)
